“The one-month-old baby from Villupuram that was suspected to have contracted the “Spontaneous Human Combustion (SHC) Syndrome”, is set to return home from the Government Kilpauk Medical College and Hospital on Monday with the mystery of how the fire started remaining unresolved.
The government medical committee formed to investigate has found no trace of the possibility of self-combustion as claimed by the child’s parents, Rajeshwari and Karna.
A source speaking to Express said it was the general opinion of doctors that the parents themselves could have inflicted the burn injuries on the infant.”
